Boeing Renton Now Powered By 100% Renewable Energy

With winter advancing on the state of Washington, bringing colder temperatures and shorter days, Boeing reports that its 737 manufacturing facility is now powered by 100% renewable energy.

The 737 manufacturing site receives power from hydroelectricity and renewable energy credits from wind energy purchased from Puget Sound Energy.

Using 100% renewable energy allows the manufacturer to keep up with record production rate demands for the 737 aircraft in an environmentally responsible manner.

A full video report of how Boeing Renton turns water and wind into aircraft can be seen here.
