Etihad Airways Relies on SITA BagJourney to Track Passenger Bags Point-to-Point

Convenient point-to-point bag tracking is coming to an airline near you thanks to IATA’s Resolution 753. It commits members to improved sharing of baggage-tracking data. The airline group has set a target of only 4.5 mishandled bags per thousand bags handled by 2018/19.

Expect introductions of smarter bag tags and of baggage tracking details in airline apps to start popping up everywhere very soon.
