The Innovative Aircraft Seating Conference 2015 kicks off this week in Hamburg. The theme of this year’s meeting is Redefining the Travel Experience.
The agenda reveals an industry focused on balancing between airline needs for profitability and stable operations and passengers’ needs for comfort on both short-haul and long-haul flights.
The group will review the potential solutions offered by lightweight design methodologies and improved ergonomic designs.
Presenting their ideas are representatives from airframe manufacturers, equipment manufactures, leading design firms, and airlines who will brainstorm new solutions to the challenges of limited cabin space and complex certification requirements.
