Qatar Airways’ New Amenities Will Make You Want to Be a Kid Again

Following the launch of its new Going Places Together Campaign, Qatar Airways has sweetened the flying experience for families further by introducing new Hasbro In-Flight Kid’s Packs. To promote the new child-friendly in-flight product, the airline has launched an adorable Mr. Potato Head Goes on Holiday spot, featured on its YouTube channel.

The true charm of this video is not only its star: Mr. Potato Head, but also how the theme of its new campaign carries over to this production.

Many airlines go out of their way to entice families travelling together to choose them for their next flight. This results in a very healthy competition to offer the best children’s services, meals, onboard entertainment and amenities to keep little ones occupied and happy during what can otherwise be a stressful experience.

Amenities–whether aimed at children or adults–have become strong brand-building tools for airlines. Qatar Airways has made the most of their potential these new child-friendly products by aligning with childhood favourite toy makers Hasbro®. Mr. Potato Head is one of the cutest airline brand ambassadors we’ve seen in a long while.

The new kids amenities are product of the creative team at Australian amenities company Buzz (which previously made Qatar’s Sponge Bob Square Pants collection and is responsible for Emirates’ popular Fly With Me Monsters) in a special partnership Hasbro® Gaming.

The Qatar Airways age-appropriate range of children’s kits feature activity books, plush toys and games including: Monopoly, Twister, Connect 4 and Guess Who.

Onboard Hospitality magazine, has placed Qatar Airways’ among the finalists for its 2016 awards for best onboard Kids Kit, both for its children’s amenities and the related game-themed meal boxes.

Besides the lovely new kids kits, Qatar Airways offers children the VIP treatment with child-appropriate In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) video and music content, and a dual-screen interface with touch-screen controller which converts to a standalone gamer. This lets children watch their favourite movie on the big screen while they rack up points on the handset.
