While You Wait for Driverless Cars, Take a Driverless Bus at the Airport

At the Passenger Terminal Expo in Cologne, I was introduced to NAVYA–the self driving minibus which might make getting from the parking lot to the airport Terminal far more comfortable.

NAVYA is a fully autonomous, driverless electric minibus which the company hopes will help passengers get from the parking lot to the terminal without hassle and without airports needing to keep drivers working late.

You can watch my tour on the NAVYA fully-autonomous minibus and an interview with Hervé Gentil, Export Manager–North Europe for NAVYA, France, who shares background on the technology behind this nifty ride:

The company also has its own a nice video explaining the product.

And, yes, it has been tested on the open road.

Now..if they could only program NAVYA to remember where you parked the car before you took off on an extended holiday…

There should be an app for that.
