Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) have demonstrated Solidarity With Brussels after this morning’s horrific attacks and reaffirm their commitment to ensuring public safety and security.
ACI-NA President and CEO, Kevin M. Burke, has issued a formal statement following the attack on Brussels Airport earlier today.
“Today, all airports stand together in reaffirming our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the traveling public. We have been closely monitoring the security situation in Brussels as if unfolds. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been impacted by this terrible attack,” he said.
“To help ensure the safety and security of the traveling public, airports are – in coordination with the Transportation Security Administration and law enforcement officials – continually evaluating and enhancing security measures based on available intelligence and based on information obtained from local, national, and international incidents.
“North American airports take every threat seriously and apply a rigorous, comprehensive, multi-layered, risk-based approach that provides effective aviation security while providing for the efficient movement of passengers and goods.”
