Norwegian Signs $13 million Deal for First-Ever U.S. Charter Service

In a deal worth 120 MNOK (£10million/$13million), Norwegian has announced the launch of its first-ever US charter service through new partnerships with Apple Vacations and Funjet Vacations.

The airline will operate more than 600 flights on routes from Milwaukee and Chicago  Mexico and the Caribbean from December 2016 to April 2017, which helps Norwegian better utilise its aircraft during the European low travel season.

Norwegian will station three 737-800 planes in Milwaukee and Chicago to serve the routes.

“We are very excited to expand our charter operations to the United States and partner with Apple Vacations and Funjet Vacations. We look forward to having more Americans enjoy the Norwegian experience on their way to what will hopefully be a fantastic holiday,” says Thomas Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer at Norwegian.

Norwegian offers seasonal scheduled services to caribbean destinations from various cities in the U.S. East Coast to the French Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique. This service will re-start this autumn.
