As the flagship airline of the Silicon Valley of the North, SAS is developing a new digital ecosystem which will radically simplify travel.
This evolving digital platform is being released on BETA as new features are added. It will run concurrently with the airline’s existing digital system until late 2017 when the airline expects the new system to go fully live.
SAS will make omnichannel improvements, but has focused especially on designing a mobile digital assistant platform.
“Our travellers use mobile phones more than any other device, and it has therefore become an essential travel companion. Of course, you should be able to do everything with the mobile. We want our travellers to have an easy access to relevant information and to book when they are on the go. Everything to make their day even easier,” says Pernilla Edelsvärd, Director of innovation and digital solutions at SAS.
The airline says more than half of all its travellers use the existing mobile app every day.
