Go On, Get AvGeek Snappy for APEX Singapore

APEX Singapore is nearly upon us (yay!), and promises many exciting

opportunities to see the latest trends in the airline passenger experience. This year, the event is co-located with Aircraft Interiors Expo Asia and Future Travel Experience Asia, and taking place at the snazzy Marina Bay Sands Singapore.

I’ll be there reporting from on-site. Feel free to follow along on Twitter and Instagram @designerjet, and keep your eye out for news here and on Facebook.

There’s no way to go wrong with this location. Singapore is an amazing city, with a rich culture and beautiful sites to see. The food is too good for words (’cause you shouldn’t talk with your mouth full). Changi Airport is one of the best in the world and, of course, it is the headquarters of Singapore Airlines.

APEX is encouraging attendees (and others in Singapore who get the chance to do so) to show off their photography skills and share their AvGeek Singapore Snaps with a special contest.

The #APEXPOTD contest is a perfect way to mark your trip to Singapore for APEX EXPO.

Contestants are encouraged to post photos on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #APEXPOTD before 5 p.m. SGT on Monday, October 24.

You may attain fame: Your snaps could be featured in the ‘photo of the day’ section of the APEX EXPO Daily Experience magazine and the APEX Daily Experience e-newsletter!

You may find good fortune (and fashion): The three winning photos (first runner-up, second runner-up and winner) must be aviation-related and Singapore-themed, and will be chosen by esteemed AvGeek photographer Laird Kay. The winner will also receive a bag from Kay’s VERY PLANE CLOTHES collection.

    Go On Get Snappy!

You don’t necessarily have to be attending the APEX EXPO to participate, but you should obviously be in Singapore and the pictures must be your originals. Feel free to work a famous Singapore Sling in the frame. It may not earn you extra credit, but I hear they’re tasty.

Hope to see you in Singapore. It’s going to be a trip!
