Travellers Share How Love Makes Their World Go Round

Airport concessionaires HMS Host carried out a campaign in the lead-up to Valentine’s Day exploring the theme of love and encouraging travellers to share their love messages at key U.S. airports.

Travellers at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Nashville International Airport, Orlando International Airport, and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport were asked to write what love means to them on 7-foot tall chalkboards at HMS Host locations.

“The chalkboards gave travellers an opportunity, in the unique setting of an airport, to discuss and share their views on love. Hundreds, from leisure and business travellers to airport and airline employees, took time to stop, reflect, and write their thoughts about love on the giant chalkboards. Everyone has a message of love and whether they are travellers rushing to their flight or an airport employee on a break, it’s moving to see people of all walks of life take time to stop and share their thoughts with others about love—in a busy airport terminal of all places,” Lina Mizerek, Senior Manager Communications & Public Relations, HMS Host explains.

While all you really need is love, participants got a sweet treat from HMS Host for sharing their sentiments, including a premium dark chocolate bar and a Valentine’s Day card holding an offer for 15% discount at participating HMSHost dining locations.

HMS shared the love with a social media campaign using the hashtag #HMSHostLove
