Norwegian reports record high passenger numbers in July

Norwegian reports that it carried more than 3.3 million passengers in July, the highest number of passengers the airline has served in a single month.

This represents an increase in passengers served of 15 percent compared to the July of last year. Norwegian also reports a network-wide load factor of 94 percent and a load factor of 96 percent on intercontinental routes.

“We are very pleased that an increasing number of passengers choose Norwegian for their travels, not least intercontinentally. It is also satisfactory that even with a strong capacity growth our aircraft are full,” CEO of Norwegian, Bjørn Kjos. “This proves that travellers in Europe, the U.S. and Asia appreciate low fares, new aircraft and friendly service.”

Norwegian operated 99.1 per cent of the scheduled flights in July, of which 68.8 per cent departed on time.

The airline’s fleet renewal program continued in July with the delivery of three Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and two Boeing 787-9
