Shenzhen Airlines marked a fresh European milestone with a new direct flight to Barcelona. Flight ZH9065, with 203 passengers on board, took off from Shenzhen, China, and landed in Barcelona, Spain, on the morning of August 28.

The Barcelona municipality, the general consulate of China in Barcelona, the Air Routes Development Committee in Barcelona (CDRA), Spain’s airports management group (AENA), Shenzhen Airlines, and its partner Air China organized a ceremony to welcome passengers. The major of Barcelona, the deputy consul-general of China in Barcelona, and dozens of representatives attended the event.
Shenzhen Airlines Barcelona Flight Schedule
Shenzhen Airlines will operate the round-trip flight connecting Shenzhen and Barcelona twice weekly, every Monday and Friday. Flight ZH9066 from Barcelona to Shenzhen departs at 11:30 local time and arrives at 07:00 Beijing time. The return flight ZH9065 departs at 11:30 and arrives at 08:05.
The airline operates an Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft on this new route. Passengers on this flight receive cross-city transfers, free transit hotels, an express visa process, and other exclusive services.
The new route is Shenzhen Airlines’ second direct flight from Europe. The first one is between London and Shenzhen. Shenzhen Airlines will continue to enrich its route network in the near future.
Sister City Service
2023 marks the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Spain and China. It is also the second anniversary of Barcelona and Shenzhen becoming sister cities. The new route creates a convenient air bridge between the two cities, further promoting cooperation between cities and nations in science, technology, culture, tourism, and trade.
