Iberia Unveils New Eco-Friendly Toiletry Kits: What’s Inside?

Iberia Unveils Eco-Friendly Toiletry Kits by Designer Teresa Helbig at Fitur

Elevating the in-flight experience with sustainability in mind, Iberia has rolled out its latest travel accessory: eco-conscious toiletry kits. This exciting development, announced at the Fitur travel trade show, manifests Iberia’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

A Fashion-Forward Collaboration

The creative force behind the new toiletry bags is Teresa Helbig, a renowned Catalan designer. Taking cues from her bespoke uniform designs for Iberia, the bags boast a chic combination of the airline’s signature blue, red, and yellow, making them as stylish as they are sustainable.

Beauty with a Conscience

Iberia introduces natural and vegan cosmetics within these kits in a trailblazing move. Uvas Frescas, a Spanish brand, has leveraged surplus grapes from the wines passengers enjoy in-flight to create these exclusive products. This innovative approach underscores a growing trend towards sustainability in the skies.

Environmental Milestones

Resource conservation takes center stage with Iberia’s new initiative:

  • Recycling Triumph: 7.5 million 550ml plastic bottles repurposed
  • Water Conservation: Saving an impressive 1.2 million liters of water
  • Energy Reduction: Cutting emissions by 70% during production

Socially Responsible Production

The toiletry bags also highlight Iberia’s social commitment. They are assembled by Envera, an organization associated with Iberia that provides employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This initiative not only supports the environment but also fosters inclusive employment practices.

What’s Inside the Bags?

For the Business Class Traveler:

Each Business Class passenger receives a toiletry bag equipped with:

  • Night socks
  • An eye mask
  • A toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Earplugs, lip balm
  • Hand cream

For the Premium Economy Jet-setter:

Premium Economy travelers can look forward to a compact version comprising:

  • Cozy socks
  • A mask
  • Dental hygiene essentials
  • Earplugs

Starting this summer, these redesigned toiletry bags will enhance the travel experience for those flying Business and Premium Economy on long-haul flights. As Iberia leads the way in sustainable flying luxuries, passengers are not simply traveling comfortably but journeying with a conscience.
