T4 features automation and state of the art technology

Opened in 2017, T4 is Changi’s newest terminal with a high degree of automation throughout the airport journey from check-in to boarding, enabling passengers to check in at their convenience and for airlines to benefit from productivity gains. It won the President’s Design Award Singapore for its innovative redesign of the airport experience.

The Fast And Seamless Travel (FAST) check-in process in T4 earned the Techblazer Award for best adoption of technology for a Smart Airport.

The extensive use of technology extends to security screening, where advanced 3D screening technology allows passengers to keep laptops and tablets in their bags during the screening process. In addition, a 70m-wide immersive digital wall that spans the entire length of the security screening area presents scenes of beautiful destinations and whimsical travel-related videos to passengers, transforming the whole experience into a sensory and positively surprising one.

Rest and relax before flights

Besides duty-free shopping in the transit area, passengers can also look forward to shops such as Charles & Keith and TWG Tea reopening in T4. Arrival duty-free shopping at The Shilla Duty-Free and Lotte Duty-Free is also available to passengers. Various food options, including restaurants, food courts, and food kiosks, will offer a variety of cuisine choices, both in the public and transit areas.

Popular Attractions

Apart from shops, popular attractions such as the Heritage Zone (featuring theatrical performances ‘Peranakan Love Story’ and ‘Nanyang Blossom’), unique art pieces such as Petalclouds and Travelling Family, as well as the beautiful ‘Steel in Bloom’ garden will be reopened for passengers to enjoy.
Chandelier, the new playground at T4, will also be opened. This 16m-high play structure, constructed from crimson red climbing ropes, allows the young and young-at-heart to climb to their heart’s content before their flight. A tubular slide has also been added to the play area so passengers can choose to slide from the departure transit area down to the playground instead of taking the lift.

Blossom, the pay-per-use lounge, will be reopened. The lounge offers a comprehensive range of facilities and services, including modern shower facilities and a delectable range of food and beverages.

Connections to and from T4

Free shuttle bus services on both the land and airside will connect T4 and the other terminals for passengers and visitors. Airside shuttles will ply at every 10- to 13-minute intervals, 24/7. For landside shuttles, for most of the day (06:00 to midnight), there will be direct shuttles to both Terminals 1 (T1) and 3 (T3) every six to nine minutes. Travellers and visitors wishing to take the MRT should use the T3 landside service. During the lull hours (midnight to 06:00), the landside shuttle will run in a loop service between T3, T1, and T4 on a reduced frequency. Other public transport options, such as taxis, private-hire vehicles, and public buses (service numbers 24, 34, 36, and 110) are available too.

Arriving passengers can also approach the Ground Transport Concierge at the Arrival Hall to book 7-seater vehicles for larger groups.
