Mesa Airlines is looking for a few good pilots! The airline launched a Direct-Entry Captain Referral Program, rewarding referrals.

Here’s What You Need to Know:
The Deal: Refer a qualified pilot. If they get hired as a Captain at Mesa Airlines, you earn $20,000!
The Criteria: Your referred pilot must:

- Have logged 100 flying hours in the past year
Speaking on this exciting initiative, Jonathan Ornstein, the Chairman and CEO of Mesa Airlines, remarked, “This program is our way of rewarding the community for assisting us in bringing top-notch talent into our fold. We’re not just offering a job; we’re offering a promising career pathway with Mesa, leading to United through their Aviate program.”
Benefits for the Hired Pilot Include:
- Transitioning to United via the Aviate program after completing 1600 Pilot in Command hours with Mesa
- A stellar signing bonus of $110,000 post-training
- A 1 for 1 longevity match based on prior experience, enabling earning potential up to $215 per flight hour and accelerated vacation accrual
- Comprehensive Mesa benefits: 401(k), dental, vision, medical, and travel perks
Payout Details: Mesa splits the referral bonus into two phases:
- You’ll be paid the first half ($10,000) when the referred pilot completes their training.
- The airline pays the remaining half after the pilot completes 6 months of service from their initial flight duty with Mesa.
Feel like giving it a shot? Head over to Mesa-Air.com and start your referral application. But hurry. This program only runs until September 15, 2023.
Remember: You must be legally authorized to work in the US to participate and be prepared for any tax implications from your bonus. The finer print also states that Mesa Airlines can change or stop the program whenever they deem necessary.
