Qatar Airways and Xiamen Airlines have charted a course toward collaboration. The airlines announced a new codeshare partnership enhancing connections between Mainland China and Qatar. It comes as the two nations celebrate 35 years of diplomatic ties.

With this codeshare partnership, Qatar Airways extends its reach, magnifying its presence in Mainland China. Qatar Airways operates 31 weekly flights to six Mainland China destinations. The airline also offers double daily flights to Hong Kong. Through the partnership, Xiamen Airlines will place its code on Qatar Airways flights to and from Beijing.
Launching Direct Flights from Beijing’s Daxing International Airport
Xiamen Airlines will fly out of Beijing’s Daxing International Airport, touching down at Qatar’s Hamad International Airport. This route is operated by the airline’s Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
From 20th October 2023, the Beijing-Doha route assures passengers of timely services. The flight lands in Doha at 22:45 and sets off for the return at 02:00. Designed for optimal connectivity, these flights bridge key markets. They integrate with Qatar Airways’ extensive network across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe through the partnership.
Flights to Xiamen’s Special Economic Zone
Beyond Beijing, Xiamen Airlines expands its reach from Xiamen, Fujian Sheng’s bustling economic hub. Two weekly flights, commencing 31st October 2023, ensure the same seamless travel. Timed perfectly for connections, they land in Doha at 05:00 and depart at 19:30. These flights are operated by Xiamen Airlines’ Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
