Burrana Brings Power To Cayman Airways’ Boeing B737-MAX 8s

Burrana successfully installed in-seat power on four B737-MAX 8 aircraft for Cayman Airways. This upgrade allows passengers to charge multiple devices using two combo USB-A and USB-C jacks per triple seat. Each seat group has one USB Seat Box to provide the necessary power.

Burrana’s first program on a Boeing B737Max aircraft meets Cayman Airways’ requirements without affecting existing seat certification. This solution enhances the passenger experience and minimizes intrusion into personal space.

Cayman Airways Passengers Benefit from Burrana’s In-Seat Power

David Pook, VP of Global Marketing & Sales, explains, “Cayman’s passengers will be able to enjoy all the benefits of Burrana’s in-seat power solution, including high-speed USB charging, intelligent power-sharing distribution and load shed management that ensures greater utilization of available power, while multiple levels of redundancy provide the highest reliability, meaning the possibility of a passenger-facing failure is almost zero.”

Fabian Whorms, CEO at Cayman Airways stated, “We were looking for a retrofit in-seat power system for our B737MAX aircraft. We chose Burrana for their favorable pricing, lower weight, innovative system and installation design. The Burrana team was very committed and responsive to our needs. After more than a year in service, we are very satisfied with the reliability of the product.”
