Passenger Numbers Soar for Finnair in July

    innair reported a passenger count of 1,062,500. This figure shows a 6.3% increase from July 2022 and a 6.5% rise from June 2023. However, considering the month of June had one less day, these figures are not entirely comparable. Finnair’s average Passenger Load Factor (PLF) for the month was 84.8%.

    Qatar Airways Launches Helsinki Route, Partners with Finnair

      Qatar Airways has officially arrived in Helsinki Airport during a special ceremony on Tuesday. To mark the launch of its routes, the airline organised a special A350 flight, but will serve Helsinki routes with A320 aircraft in a two-class configuration with 12 seats in Business Class and 120 seats in Economy Class.

      Qatar and Finnair also struck up a new code share partnership which expands the routes available to oneworld alliance members.

      Finnair Reports 6% Growth, Expands A350 Service to Asia

        Finnair reports 6% growth in passenger numbers year-on-year for September, 6.5% Year-on-Year. Finnair also announced an expansion of its A350 routes to Tokyo and Hong Kong as part of the airline’s focus on growth in Asia.

        Finnair Looks for Fresh Digital Inspiration at Slush Helsinki

          Finnair has announced that it will partner with Europe’s largest startup event, Slush, in an effort to fuel innovation and digitalisation.
          The November event in Helsinki will gather approximately 2,000 startups, 800 venture capitalists, and 700 journalists from over 100 countries to explore new business opportunities.

          Finnair Signs Code-Share Agreement with Czech Airlines

            Finnair’s AY code will be added to flights between Helsinki and Prague operated by Czech Airlines, and to Czech Airlines flights between Prague and Ostrava in the Czech Republic, Kosice in Slovakia and Bucharest in Romania.

            Czech Airlines’ OK code is already included on all Finnair’s flights between Helsinki and Prague.

            The new code-sharing agreement took effect on March 17.

            Iberia Plus Loyalty Campaign “Seismillones” Honoured

              Iberia’s Iberia Plus loyalty campaign “Seismillones” (six million) card received special honours at the Flightglobal/Global Flight Loyalty Awards 2016 in Bangkok.

              Air New Zealand and Finnair also recognised during the Loyalty 2016 awards.
