innair reported a passenger count of 1,062,500. This figure shows a 6.3% increase from July 2022 and a 6.5% rise from June 2023. However, considering the month of June had one less day, these figures are not entirely comparable. Finnair’s average Passenger Load Factor (PLF) for the month was 84.8%.
Finnair reports positive growth for June 2023.
The airline successfully flew nearly one million passengers (997,200), marking a 9.9% increase from June 2022 and a 3.8% rise from May 2023.
Finnair launches daily services from Nordic capitals to Doha in strategic partnership with Qatar Airways
Finnair and oneworld partner Qatar Airways have concluded an agreement to establish long-term strategic cooperation between Helsinki, Stockholm and Copenhagen, and Doha. Finnair and Qatar Airways are exploring opening services also between another European destination and Doha.
Finnair will cut capacity by 90%, starting from 1 April and keep critical air connections for Finland, limited connections to Europe, and one remaining intercontinental route to Japan. The airline cites the “severe impact on demand for air travel” resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.
“Currently, sustainable aviation fuel offers the only viable alternative to fossil liquid fuels for powering commercial aircraft,” Peter Vanacker, Neste’s President and CEO.
Alongside the previously opened Platinum Wing Lounge, the Business Lounge was designed as a collaboration between Helsinki-based KOKO3, London-based Tangerine and Finnair’s internal design team.

1. COMAC C919 takes off!
The successful first flight of the C919 narrowbody aircraft, built by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC), is a huge aviation milestone.

Finnair’s AY code will be added to flights between Helsinki and Prague operated by Czech Airlines, and to Czech Airlines flights between Prague and Ostrava in the Czech Republic, Kosice in Slovakia and Bucharest in Romania.
Czech Airlines’ OK code is already included on all Finnair’s flights between Helsinki and Prague.
The new code-sharing agreement took effect on March 17.
