Emirates has recently announced the expansion of its Premium Economy offering to two more destinations in its network. Starting from 19 November, passengers flying from Dubai can experience the highly sought-after Premium Economy cabin class on flights to São Paulo. Additionally, from 20 December, Emirates will also introduce Premium Economy on flights to Tokyo Narita.

São Paulo will join a list of prestigious North and South American cities where Emirates operates its newly retrofitted flagship A380 aircraft, becoming the 13th city to offer this enhanced experience. Tokyo Narita, on the other hand, will be the second gateway in the Emirates’ Far East network to feature the new Premium Economy cabin.

Emirates’ New Premium Economy Class Flight Details
From 19 November, flight EK261/262 between Dubai and São Paulo will offer Premium Economy three times weekly, increasing to daily flights in December. Tokyo Narita’s Premium Economy will be available daily on flights EK318/319 from 20 December.
São Paulo joins the airline’s growing network of destinations operated by the A380 aircraft, while Tokyo Narita enhances the Far East network’s premium offerings.

Travelers opting for Premium Economy enjoy extra legroom, luxurious seats, premium dining options, and exclusive amenities, making it a popular choice among passengers. The offering has garnered over 160,000 upgrades from Economy Class since its launch a year ago.
Current Premium Economy Destinations
Emirates’ A380 Premium Economy is available on flights to London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Houston, and San Francisco. Mumbai and Bengaluru will join the list from 29 October.
Inside the Retrofitted A380

Emirates’ signature ghaf tree motif graces the refreshed interiors of the retrofitted Airbus A380 aircraft, complemented by aesthetic enhancements and new color palettes throughout. The upgraded A380 aircraft features a four-class configuration including 56 seats in Premium Economy, located at the front of the main deck and laid out in a 2-4-2 configuration. There are also 338 seats in Economy Class, 76 in Business Class, and 14 First Class suites onboard.

Daily flights between São Paulo and Dubai offer connections to over 130 global destinations. Emirates also operates a Boeing 777 service between Dubai and Rio de Janeiro, extending connectivity to Buenos Aires. In Japan, Emirates connects passengers through Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, and Osaka Kansai.
