Inside The New SATS Premier Lounge At Singapore Changi Airport T3

The upgraded SATS Premier Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 3 has officially opened. The lounge features interior design elements from local artists and students, providing a vibrant and authentic setting. It showcases iconic Singaporean dishes such as laksa, chicken rice, prawn noodles, and other beloved hawker fare.

SATS Ltd. plans to expand its airport lounge network in Singapore, aiming to improve airline customers’ pre-flight and transit experiences.

This lounge now features an exceptional ‘Executive’ area with private pods, dining service, family and dining seating, and travel-friendly amenities. In the coming years, SATS will refurbish the other Premier Lounges in Terminals 1 and 2, bringing these impressive upgrades to more travelers.

SATS Group President and CEO Kerry Mok confidently stated that SATS’ enhancements to Premier Lounges demonstrate their unwavering commitment to offering travelers and airline customers a distinctly Singaporean experience at Changi Airport.

“Millions of people visit the SATS lounges in Changi each year. With inputs from airlines and passengers, we were able to reimagine the lounge as a space for travelers where food, culture and hospitality experiences converge and enrich their experience of Singapore,” said Mr Mok.

SATS will proudly feature award-winning chefs and authentic curations of traditional local favorites, including their signature laksa, congee, biryani, and various international cuisines. Robot chefs will expertly prepare pasta from the renowned Twyst restaurants’ menu, and travelers can enjoy SATS Gourmet Solutions food products at the lounge.

SATS also collaborates with six esteemed local hawker, food, and beverage brands—Beach Road Prawn Noodle House, Boon Tong Kee, Killiney, Downstairs by Song Fa, Rumah Makan Minang, and Ponggol Nasi Lemak—highlighting them at the SATS Premier Lounge at Terminal 3. This initiative will elevate the Singapore experience for travelers and extend the reach of beloved Singapore brands.

SATS Lounge Design Community

The SATS Foundation has launched its inaugural design institution program to connect local tertiary institutions. This program provides budding artists from LASALLE College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and Singapore Polytechnic Media, Arts & Design School an excellent platform to showcase their digital artwork. Additionally, the lounge will feature professional works of art by local artists like Loy Yan Ling from Euphoramics and heritage crockery from the Intan, a private Peranakan museum. This initiative proudly presents Singaporean artworks to global travelers while seamlessly connecting them to the rich sights and sounds of Singapore’s culture and identity.

To brand the lounge as uniquely SATS and Singapore, the SATS Global Innovation Hub team in Singapore designed wall and floor tiles that embody Singaporean heritage. They drew inspiration from the intricate ornamental Peranakan tiles. SATS’ exclusive tile features the national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid, and the Crimson Sunbird, Singapore’s unofficial national bird. The flower signifies unity, progressiveness, and cultural fusion, while the Crimson Sunbird symbolizes the essence of flight and the adventurous spirit of travel.
