Emirates Celebrates Oktoberfest In The Skies and On The Ground

    Oktoberfest, the globally celebrated German festival, gets a touch of luxury in the skies. From 16 September to 3 October, Emirates is set to elevate the Oktoberfest experience for its passengers traveling to and from Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Frankfurt.

    The Emirates in-flight menu gets Oktoberfest theme on flights to and from Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Frankfurt.

    Passengers can look forward to indulging in an authentic Bavarian culinary journey, complete with starters, main courses, and desserts. These dishes are carefully curated to capture the essence of Oktoberfest, available across all classes – Economy, Business, and First Class.

    First and Business Class Highlights:

    • Starters: Obatzda, Emmental, and cream cheese coupled with radishes, hard-boiled egg, and cornichons.
    • Main Course: Options include slow-cooked veal cheeks and fleischpflanzerl, both capturing the rich flavors of Bavarian cuisine.
    • Desserts: Apfelstrudel and German Apple Cake ensure a sweet ending to the meal.

    Economy Class Special:

    • Main Course: A hearty serving of roasted chicken with paprika.
    • Dessert: Apple cake flavored with almonds and vanilla sauce.

    All these delights are further enhanced with Loewenbrau beer, adding a touch of authenticity to the entire experience.

    More Oktoberfest Treats Onboard: Emirates A380 Lounge

    The Emirates A380 lounge will not be left behind in these celebrations. Expect bite-sized Oktoberfest sandwiches with flavors like cream cheese with chives and roasted beef with horseradish. And let’s not forget the classic pretzel with rock salt and butter! A range of complimentary pastries from lebkuchenherzen to strawberry cheesecake will also be available. As a special touch, passengers will receive gingerbread hearts adorned with Oktoberfest motifs before their descent.

    Lounging In Munich and Düsseldorf

    While the onboard experience is designed to tantalize the taste buds, the airport lounges in Munich and Düsseldorf will be no different. From Käsepätzle, a German twist on mac and cheese, to the classic Obazda and pretzel, the lounges will echo the vibrant celebrations of Oktoberfest.

    Oktoberfest Entertainment Onboard

    Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment, ice, is also getting a German makeover. It will feature 45 German movies, 300+ Hollywood blockbusters in German, and a collection of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill classics. For those keen on some music, there are 28 playlists and albums of German tunes amidst a vast library of 6,500 channels.

    This Oktoberfest, Emirates operates triple-daily flights from Dubai to Frankfurt and double-daily flights to Munich, Dusseldorf, and Hamburg, ensuring passengers don’t miss out on the festivities.
