Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic Avionics) has recently signed an agreement with Egyptair to install its cutting-edge Astrova seat-end solution on Egyptair’s new Airbus A350-900 fleet. Egyptair is the first airline in Africa to select Astrova.

The installation will include 19-inch 4K OLED monitors in the Business Class cabins and 12-inch monitors in the Economy Class. In addition to the impressive screens, Panasonic Avionics will provide connectivity services throughout the A350 aircraft.
Astrova Offers High-Definition Screens and High-Fidelity Audio

Astrova revolutionizes the role of seatback IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) by offering an immersive experience for Egyptair’s passengers. The high-definition screens and high-fidelity audio, along with Panasonic Avionics’ Bluetooth technology, enhance passenger engagement. The solution also provides up to 100W of direct current power via USB-C. This enables fast charging for phones, tablets, and most laptops. With programmable LED lighting, Egyptair can improve the ambiance of its Business Class cabin.
Passengers in Economy Class will enjoy a superior cinematic experience with the latest 4K screen technology. The system offers faster network speeds, higher storage capacity, and USB-A and USB-C charging options. Panasonic Avionics’ worldwide in-flight connectivity services allow passengers to stay connected with friends, family, co-workers, and social media during their flight. These next-generation connectivity applications are available across almost all air travel routes.
