In a move that underscores the growing global demand for specialized pilot training, Embraer and FlightSafety International have announced the inauguration of a new Praetor full-flight simulator in Orlando, Florida. Another simulator will be operational in Europe by the end of 2024, significantly expanding the training infrastructure for Praetor jets.

New Praetor Simulators: What’s the Plan?
The new Orlando-based simulator is already certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Initial customer training sessions start this month. Recurrent training is set to commence in October. The European simulator’s location is yet to be disclosed, but it promises to cater to the growing training needs in the region.
Carlos Naufel, President & CEO of Embraer Services & Support, emphasized, “Offering additional training capacity is important for supporting our customers. These two new full-flight simulators bring us even closer to Praetor family pilots and operators in the United States and Europe. They will provide us with the opportunity to share our latest technological updates and best-in-class support.”
Why These Simulators Matter
Nate Speiser, Executive Vice President of FlightSafety Sales and Marketing, noted the importance of meeting the increasing demand for Embraer Praetor training. “As Embraer’s training partner, we are proud to announce consecutive simulator deployments in two regions to support the worldwide training demand for this quickly growing fleet.”
A Quick Look at Praetor Jets
The Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 models are technologically advanced jets. The Praetor 500 is the fastest and farthest-flying midsize jet. It can operate nonstop flights across North America, like Miami to Seattle. The Praetor 600, its super-midsize counterpart, has an intercontinental range capable of flying nonstop from Paris to New York.
Both models offer exceptional comfort and luxury for private jet flights, from six-foot-tall, flat-floor cabins to high-capacity, ultra-high-speed internet connectivity.
The Bigger Picture: Expanding Global Training Infrastructure
This development doesn’t just benefit Embraer and FlightSafety; it significantly augments the global aviation training infrastructure. Pilots and operators now have more locations to access specialized, state-of-the-art training. Furthermore, it allows the companies to disseminate critical technological updates more efficiently, enhancing overall flight safety and operational effectiveness.
