Norwegian Reveals Most Popular Destinations for Autumn 2023

Autumn is travel time in Norway. The school autumn holidays are now in full swing across the country. At Norwegian, southern favorites and big-city classics again top the Norwegians’ most preferred destinations.

When the autumn darkness and rainy days arrive, many long to prolong the feeling of summer with sun, warmth, and cultural experiences. Travelers from Norway are drawn to popular destinations along the Mediterranean and to the continental cities in Europe.

“Beaches and big European cities continue to beckon with mild temperatures, sun, and city life. The list of our most popular travel destinations this autumn is as expected. Persistently warm temperatures draw travelers from Norway and the rest of Scandinavia south. Norwegian’s autumn and winter program includes a wide range of routes with direct flights to exciting destinations across Europe from all the Nordic countries,” says Magnus Thome Maursund, commercial director at Norwegian.

For many, the autumn months are the best time to travel. Fewer tourists than in the summer means smaller crowds and shorter queues. Places that are still warm offer opportunities to enjoy both beaches and nightlife.
