Norwegian Says Book Now If You Want To Fly For Easter

Norwegian advises Easter holiday travelers to book quickly, as many flights to popular destinations like London, Barcelona, Nice, and various locations in Spain are filling up. Despite the rush, opportunities to book a trip still remain, but you’ll need to book quickly to secure a getaway, especially with Easter arriving early this year.

“After what feels like an extra long winter, it is not surprising that many people want to go out and travel during Easter. We see that there is a particularly high demand for trips to destinations with sun and warmth. Even though it is starting to fill up on many departures, there are still seats left,” says Magnus Thome Maursund, commercial director at Norwegian.

As Easter nears, Norwegian sees a decrease in seat availability to typical holiday spots like London, Berlin, and various locations in Spain. However, destinations like Bucharest, Dublin, and Athens are gaining popularity due to better weather conditions. The airline notes passengers are rapidly reserving seats, with this trend noticeable since early March.

Norwegian Reports Flights From Denmark Are Close to Sold Out at Easter

Norwegian reports that seats for Easter flights to popular destinations are filling up quickly. Those looking for a holiday in the sun are advised to book promptly, as tickets to Dane’s favorite destinations—particularly London, Alicante, Berlin, Malaga, and Barcelona—are nearly sold out.

However, there are still available tickets from Denmark to lesser-known but fashionable destinations such as Budapest, Dublin, and Funchal in Madeira, which offer pleasant weather during Easter.

Swedish travelers often choose destinations such as London, and Spanish locales like Malaga, Alicante, Mallorca, and Gran Canaria. Other popular European cities include Nice, Berlin, Rome, and Paris for Easter vacations.

Interest In New Norwegian Easter Destinations Is On The Rise

“We see that big city holidays are particularly popular at Easter this year. Many of these have considerably better Easter weather than we can boast here in the Nordics. Budapest, Dublin and Funchal on Madeira are among the highlights. There you get both slightly better weather and many exciting experiences – not least on the cultural side,” says Thome Maursund.

New Trend-Setting Norwegian Destinations

Looking for the perfect Easter getaway? Norwegian has identified top destinations promising great weather and enriching experiences:

  • Amsterdam: As a hub for art and history, Amsterdam is perfect for families. Stroll past iconic canals and visit museums celebrating Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Anne Frank. Expect up to 13°C and mixed weather.
  • Athens provides a blend of historical attractions and lively city life, with forecasts predicting up to 21°C.
  • Bucharest boasts a historic charm reminiscent of Paris, offering pleasant temperatures up to 19°C alongside Europe’s largest indoor water park.
  • Budapest: With Gothic and Baroque architecture, Budapest offers cultural treasures, thermal baths, and an affordable culinary scene. Enjoy up to 18 degrees and sunshine, ideal for a Danube cruise.
  • Dublin: Ireland’s vibrant capital hosts myriad Easter festivities, markets, and the historic Guinness brewery. Expect pleasant weather with up to 13 degrees and sunny spells.
  • Madeira: In Funchal, expect a blend of urban vibes and stunning landscapes. The cable car rides and harbor promenade showcasing Portuguese cuisine await you, all under the full sun and 20-degree warmth.
  • Manchester is known for football but also offers vibrant youth culture and nightlife. For Easter, the forecast is around 11°C and mostly fine weather.
  • Vienna: With its rich musical history and historic architecture, Vienna is not to be missed. Visit the Schönbrunn Palace Easter market and the Opera, with up to 15 degrees and generally pleasant spring weather.
