American Airlines is bringing the 2026 FIFA World Cup onboard with a new collection of limited-edition U.S. Soccer-themed amenity kits designed for premium cabin passengers.
The kits, announced this week ahead of the football tournament taking place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will begin flying in June and remain available through July.
American, which is both the Official Airline of U.S. Soccer and an official North American airline supplier for the FIFA World Cup 2026 alongside Qatar Airways, said the bags were designed to move “from the plane to the game.”

Unlike traditional airline amenity kits meant primarily for onboard use, these versions are designed to double as stadium-ready accessories. The transparent bags comply with the clear bag policies increasingly common at major sports venues, including many World Cup stadiums.
“This summer is shaping up to be incredibly exciting for American as the Official Airline of U.S. Soccer,” said American’s Chief Marketing Officer Caroline Clayton. “Not only will we help fly fans to host cities on more flights than any other domestic carrier, but these amenity kits will help build excitement and passion for the tournament — and are match day ready! We’re excited to see them become part of this iconic tournament.”
Different kits for different cabins
American has created several variations for the kit depending on cabin class.
Passengers traveling in Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred seats will receive a clear bag trimmed with blue leather piping and a removable crossbody strap.
Travelers in Flagship Business and Flagship Suite seats get a convertible design that can be worn either as a belt bag or crossbody.

Premium Economy passengers receive a simpler clear pouch with a removable wrist strap.
The airline is also leaning into the summer sports theme with the onboard amenities themselves. Alongside the usual skincare products such as hand lotion and lip balm, the kits include after-sun cooling gel and soccer-inspired socks.
“The passion around soccer in this country continues to grow, and partnerships like this help turn that energy into experiences fans can actually see, touch and be part of,” said U.S. Soccer Chief Commercial Officer David Wright. “These amenity kits are a creative way for American Airlines to celebrate the summer of soccer and help fans carry that excitement with them, from the airport to the stadium and everywhere in between.”
The airline says it has added 27,000 seats across new and existing routes tied to tournament demand and expects to offer 1.45 million premium seats during the competition. AAdvantage members have also redeemed millions of miles for match tickets through FIFA-related promotions.
Airlines increasingly turning cabins into branded experiences
American Airlines’ new U.S. Soccer amenity kits reflects how airlines can use premium cabin soft products as part of broader lifestyle and sponsorship strategies, rather than simply as inflight comfort items.
Limited-edition amenity kits can be an important branding tool for carriers seeking attention on social media and among premium travelers. Airlines have previously partnered with luxury fashion houses, skincare brands, artists, and sports organizations to create collectible onboard products.
For American, the FIFA World Cup partnership also comes at a strategically important time. The carrier operates more domestic flights than any other U.S. airline and is positioning itself as a key transport provider for fans moving between host cities during the tournament.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the largest in the tournament’s history, with matches hosted across 16 cities in North America and an expanded 48-team format.
