Qatar Airways has recently added the new Expo 2023 Doha aircraft livery to its fleet. This aircraft celebrates the airline’s role as the Official Strategic Partner for this significant event. This unveiling is a momentous occasion. It celebrates Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport’s (HIA) preparedness to host a global gathering that prioritizes environmental awareness. Through this partnership, both entities aim to contribute towards a sustainable future.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, revealed the A330-300 aircraft adorned with the Expo 2023 Doha livery at Hamad International Airport.
Dignitaries Present for Qatar Airways Livery Reveal
High-profile dignitaries, including the President of Ashghal, H.E. Dr. Engr, attended the event. Saad Ahmed Al Mohannadi, Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer; Secretary-General of Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha, Engr. Mohamed Ali al-Khouri, in addition to the senior management of Qatar Airways and the Expo team.
Minister of Municipality, His Excellency Mr. Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, said: “Expo 2023 Doha is a beacon of Qatar’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental progress. Qatar Airways Expo 2023 Doha Contributions
Qatar Airways is making a significant contribution to Expo 2023 by creating the “Qatar Airways Garden” pavilion. This pavilion will showcase interactive exhibits that align with the Expo’s theme of “Green Desert, Better Environment.”
Starting from October 11, 2023, passengers on Qatar Airways flights will enjoy an enhanced onboard experience. They can indulge in carefully curated beverages. A special à la carte menu features ingredients sourced from Qatari farms. To add to the excitement, there will be Expo-themed in-flight entertainment. A dedicated channel will play over 30 gardening-related shows. Passengers can be part of a memorable horticultural experience even while flying.
Expo 2023 Doha will occur from October 2023 to March 2024 at the picturesque Al Bidda Park. It is expected to attract approximately three million international visitors. Set against the backdrop of the Arabian Gulf, this six-month event will offer a wide range of experiences. Attendees can enjoy stunning gardens, informative talks, art, cuisine, and a special focus on innovative approaches to address desertification.
