Pegasus Airlines Adopts Eco-Flying Platform SkyBreathe 360

Pegasus Airlines Partners with SkyBreathe® 360° Eco-Flying Platform to Boost Fuel Efficiency and Reduce Emissions

Pegasus, the leading low-cost airline in Türkiye, is taking significant steps to enhance operational efficiency and environmental sustainability. The airline has recently adopted the SkyBreathe® 360° eco-flying platform, a cutting-edge solution designed to lower fuel costs and reduce CO2 emissions on its flights.

As part of its sustainability strategy, Pegasus Airlines has signed an agreement to purchase 36 new A321neo model aircraft. This is added to previous Airbus aircraft orders placed in 2012.

By using this innovative platform, Pegasus Airlines will have the ability to monitor flight data, analyze fuel-efficient procedures, and identify areas for improvement. This data-driven approach aims to achieve substantial reductions in fuel consumption, resulting in both financial savings and a significant decrease in the airline’s carbon footprint.

SkyBreathe 360: Aviation Sustainability Meets AI

Developed by OpenAirlines, the SkyBreathe® 360° eco-flying platform harnesses state-of-the-art Big Data algorithms, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to analyze vast amounts of flight data. This analysis provides actionable insights that allow airlines to enhance their fuel efficiency strategies and reduce overall consumption. The platform grows alongside the airline, fostering collaboration and shared responsibility while promoting a culture of environmental consciousness and delivering impressive fuel savings.

To further support this initiative, Pegasus Airlines has also opted to utilize the SkyBreathe® MyFuelCoach mobile application. This user-friendly and intuitive interface empowers pilots with trustworthy data, enabling them to make more informed flight decisions. Pilots can easily track their performance, identify areas for optimization, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

To optimizing operations and flight efficiency, Pegasus Airlines will implement the SkyBreathe® APM for their fleet of 105 aircraft. This advanced solution allows maintenance teams to continuously monitor aircraft performance, providing an up-to-date view of the fleet’s health. The platform sends notifications about any unusual deterioration and identifies root causes. Maintenance teams can take immediate corrective action, ensuring the fleet remains in top condition.

By adopting the SkyBreathe® 360° eco-flying platform and its tools, Pegasus Airlines takes proactive measures to enhance fuel efficiency. This reduces the environmental impact of its operations, and paves the way for a greener future in the aviation industry.
