Turkish Airlines, the national carrier of Türkiye, is expanding its fleet with a whopping order of 220 Airbus aircraft. The order includes 150 A321s and 70 A350 widebody aircraft known for their exceptional efficiency.
This recent procurement adds to the airline’s orders of 10 A350-900s in September and four more A350-900s in July 2023. With this substantial purchase, Turkish Airlines has a total orderbook of 504 Airbus aircraft. Airbus has already delivered 212.

About the A320neo and A350 Aircraft Families
The A321neo is Airbus’s largest aircraft in the A320neo family, providing exceptional range and performance. It incorporates new-generation engines and Sharklets. These deliver a 50% reduction in noise, over 20% fuel savings, and reduced CO₂ emissions compared to previous single-aisle aircraft. With its spacious cabin, the A321neo offers maximum comfort. More than 100 customers have ordered over 5,600 A321neos worldwide.
The A350 is a cutting-edge and fuel-efficient widebody aircraft, excelling in the 300-410 seater category. It operates efficiently on short-haul and ultra-long-haul routes, with a range of up to 9,700nm. With state-of-the-art technology, aerodynamics, lightweight materials, and latest-generation engines, the A350 saves 25% in fuel burn, operating costs, and CO₂ emissions. Additionally, it provides a 50% reduction in noise compared to competitor aircraft.
The A350 Family includes the A350-900 and the longer A350-1000. Both offer an exceptional passenger experience. Its innovative design creates a spacious feel with wider seats, higher ceilings, and captivating ambient lighting. As of November 2023, the A350 Family has received 1,072 orders from 57 leading global customers.
The A350F, designed for cargo operations, features the largest main deck cargo door and an optimized fuselage length. With over 70% of the airframe made of advanced materials and efficient Rolls-Royce engines, it offers at least a 20% advantage in fuel burn and CO₂ emissions compared to its closest competitor.
Turkish Airlines’ recent endorsement has brought the A350F order book to 50 orders from nine customers since its launch at the Dubai Airshow two years ago.
