SAS Adds Atlanta to Summer Flight Schedule

SAS Expands North American Presence With New Nonstop Flights to Atlanta From Copenhagen as Part of Their 2024 Summer Program

Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) is thrilled to announce the expansion of its North American network by introducing a daily nonstop service that connects Copenhagen to Atlanta, starting June 17th. This addition marks the ninth destination within SAS’s expansive North American network, offering customers even more travel flexibility.

SAS is dedicated to enhancing its service offerings, particularly its US routes, for the summer of 2024. Travelers can look forward to increased flight frequencies, including up to two daily nonstop flights from Copenhagen to New York’s JFK Airport. This is in addition to the existing daily services connecting New York-Newark Airport with Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen.

The commitment to providing a seamless travel experience doesn’t stop there. The popular Copenhagen to Boston route will now operate on a daily basis, an increase from its previous six weekly flights during the summer season. Moreover, the Copenhagen to Toronto route will see an additional weekly flight, bringing the service to four times a week.

Cargo Advantages of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

SAS adds flights to Atlanta

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, renowned for handling almost 94 million passengers in 2022, is the world’s busiest and most efficient airport. This new route is not only anticipated to cater to the needs of travelers but also expected to significantly boost cargo transportation, leveraging Atlanta’s strategic proximity to the Port of Savannah. Recognized as America’s largest and fastest-growing container terminal, the Port plays an integral role in connecting businesses and facilitating commerce on a global scale.

SAS Flies Beyond Atlanta Through Agreement with Delta

“Through an agreement with Delta Air Lines, passengers can continue their journey on other Delta-served destinations out of Atlanta. This development means an expanded offering for SAS passengers, who can look forward to reaching several new and exciting destinations across the Southern USA, Caribbean, and Latin America, all conveniently accessible from Atlanta,” says SAS President & CEO Anko van der Werff.
