JetBlue’s Credit Card Soars to the Top of J.D.Power Ranking

Barclays’ JetBlue Plus Card Clinches Top Spot in J.D. Power’s Airline Co-Branded Credit Cards Ranking

JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU) recently unveiled that its JetBlue Plus Card, issued in collaboration with Barclays, has been honored with the prestigious J.D. Power Award. The card secured the top position in J.D.Power’s co-branded airline credit cards category.

How is the J.D. Power Credit Card Raking calculated?

Rankings are based on the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Credit Card Satisfaction Study findings. This comprehensive annual study by J.D. Power meticulously analyzes the survey responses from an extensive pool of over 30,000 credit card customers across the United States. The detailed study, conducted in four separate phases spanning from August 2022 to June 2023, assesses overall customer satisfaction by evaluating performance across seven critical factors: account management, benefits, customer service, new account, rewards earning, rewards redeeming, and terms.

JetBlue Plus Card Lauded for Exceptional Rewards Earning, Redemption, and Benefits

Notably, the JetBlue Plus Card distinguished itself by clinching the top slot in three out of these seven performance metrics: Rewards Earning, Rewards Redeeming, and Benefits.

“As JetBlue remains committed to delivering innovative programs, rewards, and benefits for all customers, we’re proud that our card members recognize the increased value we have built into our suite of JetBlue credit cards and the newly refreshed TrueBlue loyalty program,” said Christopher Buckner, vice president of loyalty and partnerships, JetBlue. “This honor from J.D. Power further indicates our mission to invest in products, programs, and services that put our customers first.”

“This recognition from J.D. Power demonstrates that the JetBlue Plus Card is delivering value, benefits and enhanced experiences to our cardmembers,” said Doug Villone, Head of U.S. Cards and Partnerships, Barclays US Consumer Bank. “At Barclays, we partner with America’s best loved brands to offer products and services that build loyalty and enhance the lives of the brand’s core consumers.”

JetBlue’s TrueBlue Program

In a bid to enhance customer loyalty, JetBlue launched its new TrueBlue program earlier this year. This initiative offers card members an enriched platform to accumulate points, enjoy special perks, and attain the coveted TrueBlue Mosaic status.

Barclays and JetBlue, partners for over seven years, issue the JetBlue Plus Card. Their collaboration ensures card members receive benefits, including:

  • Added bonus points following qualifying account activity
  • 6X points on eligible JetBlue purchases
  • 2X points at designated restaurants and grocery stores, and 1X points on all other purchases
  • Complimentary first-checked bag and up to three eligible travel companions on JetBlue-operated flights.

JetBlue Plus card members are also entitled to a quicker route to achieve Mosaic status. They are also eligible for Points Payback, which allows the redemption of points for an annual statement credit of up to $1,000 and more.
