Looking ahead to 2024, American Airlines (AAL) is set to broaden your horizons with new routes and destinations coming next summer. Prepare to embark on adventures in three new European cities. Enjoy vibrant Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH); scenic Nice, France (NCE); and historical Naples, Italy (NAP).
This move is a testament to American Airlines’ ongoing commitment to constructing and enhancing a comprehensive global network. This marks the airline’s most significant European expansion in four years, designed to seamlessly take customers to their desired destinations.
Apart from Europe, American Airlines also plans to augment its already extensive winter schedule between the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. This expansion further cements its position as the leading carrier serving these regions.
As summer fades, it’s time to jumpstart your planning for next year’s summer vacation. American Airlines unveils four new routes and reintroduces a previously popular route, making this the airline’s largest trans-Atlantic expansion since 2019.

The new nonstop service to Europe will include flights from Philadelphia (PHL) to Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH); Naples, Italy (NAP); and Nice, France (NCE). Additionally, American is set to initiate a new service between Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Barcelona, Spain (BCN), while reintroducing flights between Chicago (ORD) and Venice, Italy (VCE).
“We’re excited to introduce three new European destinations to our network,” expressed Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning. “The new service from Philadelphia, along with expanded trans-Atlantic service from Chicago and Dallas-Fort Worth, will provide customers with convenient one-stop access from over 200 unique destinations across the U.S. to Europe next summer.”
Mark your calendars! Tickets go up for sale starting Aug. 20 on aa.com or via American’s mobile app.

Boosting Transatlantic Ties with More Flights
