Passenger Numbers Rebound from COVID-19 Pandemic

Shilla was first awarded a six-year contract for the Perfumes and Cosmetics Concession in Changi Airport in 2014. The tender extended until 2024. As the COVID-19 pandemic caused global travel disruption, this new tenancy extension will enable CAG and Shilla to recover. They aim to deliver a best-in-class beauty retail experience to customers as passenger traffic rebounds in Changi Airport.

Ms Lim Peck Hoon, CAG’s Executive Vice President of Commercial, said, “Shilla was one of our steadfast partners that weathered the storm of the pandemic with us. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with them to elevate the beauty retail landscape in Changi Airport and capture new opportunities in a post-Covid era. We are confident that the latest extension will give Shilla a longer runway to unlock their full potential in providing an exceptional travel retail experience.”

Invigorated Beauty Products Offering

With the latest extension, Shilla will invigorate the beauty products offerings in Changi Airport by introducing 20 new brands. That is in addition to its current assortment of 130 brands. Among them are new-to-Singapore brands Lancaster Premium Skincare, Rituals lifestyle and wellness products, game-changing regenerative skincare from Augustinus Bader, and homegrown brand Apripure, which offers natural and clean skincare products. Shoppers can also look forward to fragrances from prestigious French perfumery Maison Francis Kurkdjian and makeup brand Kylie Cosmetics by celebrity Kylie Jenner.

With partners in the beauty industry, Shilla will continue to impress travelers with Changi-first pop-up experiences and product launches. The retailer will also offer products through omnichannel shopping experiences both in-store and on Changi’s e-commerce platform, iShopChangi.com.

A History of Beautiful Retail

Since 2014, Shilla has worked with CAG to introduce numerous innovative retail stores. These include the world’s first airport beauty duplex store in Terminal 3. The lavish Shilla Beauty Loft captivates beauty enthusiasts. Shilla also established a walkthrough retail concept in Terminal 4. It seamlessly integrates beauty and liquor categories (each operated by two operators).
