Kenya Airways chooses SchedConnect codeshare management solution from Lufthansa Systems.

Kenya Airways has chosen Lufthansa Systems‘ codeshare management solution, SchedConnect. The two companies have been partners since 2007, with Kenya Airways already using Lufthansa Systems’ NetLine/Sched and NetLine/Plan.
As a member of the SkyTeam alliance, Kenya Airways has 20 codeshare partners, making it a fully integrated network carrier. With SchedConnect, Kenya Airways can easily manage and update its schedule, even with many changes and multiple partnerships.
Previously, Kenya Airways had to handle codeshare management tasks manually. But now, they can use a central flight repository and schedule database. It saves all customers’ and codeshare partners’ schedules in real-time. This helps the airline reduce scheduling errors, prevent customer complaints and pricing mistakes, and make the most of its codeshare connections.
“We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Lufthansa Systems,” said Martin Gitonga, Head of Network and Alliances at Kenya Airways. “Having relied on NetLine/Sched and NetLine/Plan for sixteen years, we trust the quality of their solutions and look forward to a fast integration of new codeshare partners with SchedConnect.”
“We are looking forward to continue working alongside our valued customer, Kenya Airways. We are pleased to support them with our reliable and experienced codeshare management solution, that is specifically designed to meet the needs of airlines operating in codeshare partnerships, such as SkyTeam alliance members,” added Marco Cesa, SVP Regional Management EMEA at Lufthansa Systems.
