Emirates Selects Thales’ AVANT Up In-Flight Entertainment for 777X

    Emirates has picked Thales’ AVANT Up In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system for its Boeing 777X aircraft. The implementation will start in 2025.

    The AVANT Up system boasts Optiq QLED smart displays, which provide an exceptional inflight entertainment solution tailored to meet the diverse needs of passengers. With this advanced system, Emirates aims to enhance the overall inflight experience.

    Thales Enhances Emirates In-Flight Entertainment

    Emirates also selected Thales’ AVANT Up in 2022 for their new A350 fleet to bring customers an unmatched experience.

    AVANT Up’s Optiq 4K QLED HDR screens offer an exceptional cinematic viewing experience for passengers on Emirates flights. Emirates has partnered with AVANT Up to enhance customer engagement by providing various digital services. This includes personalized recommendations, seamless synchronization of personal devices with the in-flight entertainment (IFE) screen, and user interfaces tailored for visually impaired passengers.

    Moreover, each screen has in-screen USB-A and USB-C charging ports, allowing passengers to conveniently charge their devices during the flight. In addition, passengers can connect their Bluetooth devices to the display while simultaneously charging their phones and tablets, ensuring they arrive at their destination fully charged and entertained.

    Emirates is taking its award-winning ‘ice’ entertainment system to new heights by integrating a cutting-edge live TV solution. They will introduce groundbreaking features like event streaming and DVR capabilities, setting a new standard for onboard entertainment. With Thales technologies, Emirates is expanding the content available to passengers, redefining the in-flight entertainment experience.
