The new order brings Porter’s firm orders to 75 E195-E2 – with 25 purchase rights.
Porter Airlines has exercised purchase rights to place a firm order for 25 Embraer E195-E2 passenger jets. This latest adds to their existing 50 firm orders. This strategic move will enable Porter to expand its award-winning service to various destinations across North America. The deal is valued at US$2.1 billion at list price. Embraer will include it in the Q4 backlog. This brings Porter’s total orders with Embraer to 75 firm orders and the airline retains 25 purchase rights.
E195-E2 Exceeding Expectations

Inside the Porter Airlines E195-E2
Porter, the North American launch customer for Embraer’s E195-E2, has already received 24 E195-E2s. Porter has arranged the 146-seat aircraft in a comfortable all-economy layout. The airline offers a variety of seat pitches in the cabin. They include 36″ for Porter Reserve seats, 34″ for Porter Classicstretch seats, and 30″ for Porter Classic seats. Guests can select the seating category they prefer for optimal comfort at booking. Porter Reserve tickets offer added perks. Priority check-in, extra legroom seats, premium pre-mixed cocktails, and fresh, healthy meals are available with the all-inclusive Porter Reserve fares. Travelers can also add these services à la carte with Porter Classic fares.
Porter’s New Destinations
These state-of-the-art aircraft operate in Eastern Canada, focusing primarily on Toronto Pearson International Airport and Ottawa. The airline is also introducing new services in Halifax and Montreal.
Porter recently announced exciting new destinations, including Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Additionally, the airline plans to expand services to Mexico and the Caribbean.
