Convenient New Flights To China At London Gatwick Airport

London Gatwick airport is set to launch 10 exciting new weekly flights to China. Beginning this summer, major carriers Air China and China Southern will take passengers straight to Beijing and Guangzhou. With these additions, London Gatwick will be offering a total of 26 flights to China each week, including current routes to Shanghai and Zhengzhou.

Air China at Gatwick Airport

Air China and China Southern Launch New Flights In June

Starting June 1, Air China kicks off a daily service from London Gatwick to Beijing Capital Airport. The flights will operate on the spacious A330-300. Not far behind, China Southern will introduce a service to Guangzhou three times a week, starting June 20. The service will be aboard the modern Boeing 787-8.

Last year, London Gatwick Airport opened its gates to Air China and China Southern. The new flight services announced reflect both airlines’ dedication to growth at Gatwick.

Expanding Flight Options from London Gatwick to China

These fresh connections to Beijing and Guangzhou will join London Gatwick’s existing flights to Shanghai served by China Eastern and Air China, along with Zhengzhou flights via China Southern. Adding to the mix, you’ll find flights from Air India, Emirates, Saudia, and Qatar Airways. Furthermore, new routes from Singapore Airlines and Azerbaijan Airlines to Baku are enhancing Gatwick’s Asian network. In total, travelers can choose from 85 flights heading to Asia from London Gatwick each week this summer, making it a hub of convenience and choice for trips to the East.

Greater Opportunities for Tourism and Trade

Stephanie Wear, VP Aviation Development, London Gatwick said: “These new services to China are fantastic news for both passengers and businesses across London and the South East, providing greater opportunities for tourism and trade. We can’t wait for these new services to take off and we look forward to developing our long-haul offer from London Gatwick across key markets like Asia.”
