Grand Opening Of Moomin Pop-Up Shop

The pop-up shop at Terminal 5 in Arlanda opened on April 25, offering passengers a selection of Moomin-themed products. These include collector’s mugs, home textiles like bed linen, towels, and bathrobes, and a new glass collection manufactured by Iittala in Finland.

Moomin Arabia’s pop-up shop is located in gate area E in Terminal 5 and will be open throughout 2024.

Inspiring Experiences At Stockholm Arlanda Airport

“In the new range of shopping that is emerging at Stockholm Arlanda, we want to focus on inspiring experiences and memorable visits, but also on ringing the changes in the range available to the passengers who visit us often. That’s why we’re very happy to welcome Moomin Arabia’s pop-up shop. We see a strong demand for Nordic, local and unique products, while gifting – being able to buy gifts for loved ones – is important primarily for our foreign travellers. Moomin Arabia is a strong and popular brand and a perfect complement to the airport’s other, expanding offerings,” says Charlotte Ljunggren, Director of Marketing and Sales at Swedavia.

“We are so happy to be able to offer all passengers at Stockholm Arlanda a chance to experience the Moomin atmosphere and buy fine gifts at the airport. We look forward to developing the concept further with a wide range of partner products and our own product range under one roof,” says Katarina Elvinsson, Retail Development Manager at Fiskars Group, of which Moomin Arabia is a part.

Where To Shop At Arlanda Airport

Last summer, Stockholm Arlanda Airport inaugurated its new Marketplace introducing several new dining and shopping establishments. The airport also launched Terminal 5’s cutting-edge security checkpoint, providing passengers a revamped experience. The new Marketplace is adjacent to the security checkpoint.

This space represents the largest-ever commercial venture at Arlanda. It boasts a distinct Nordic design spread across 11,000 square meters of commercial real estate. Beyond the original shops and eateries introduced at the Arlanda Marketplace, the airport promised a steady rollout of other outlets. The Marketplace’s projected completion is in late 2024 or early 2025.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport also opened a host of new outlets in SkyCity, Terminal 2, and Terminal 5.
