SAS Returns To Sandefjord With New Service To Copenhagen

Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) is reestablishing its presence at TORP Sandefjord Airport, with the inaugural flight set for April 28. By launching the direct route between TORP and Copenhagen Airport, SAS responds to increasing demand for more international travel options between Norway and Denmark.

Travelers from the small city of Sandefjord will again enjoy the ease and comfort of flying directly to Copenhagen. This route facilitates travel between these two cities for those with business in the Danish capital. It also serves as a strategic link for connecting passengers on international itineraries. From Copenhagen Airport, passengers can access a vast network of international flights, enabling seamless travel to many global destinations.

With the new route by SAS, passengers traveling from Sandefjord can access a broader range of travel itineraries. Copenhagen Airport is a hub for SAS, offering connecting flights to major cities, including New York, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Shanghai, and London. This expansion allows for greater flexibility and options for business and leisure travelers. They can reach their desired destinations with fewer layovers and shorter travel times.

“We are very happy to be able to open direct routes between TORP and the hub København airport already this spring. Sandefjord and its surroundings are an attractive region with many leisure and business travelers who want an easy route to destinations around the world. In the same way, TORP is a fine gateway to an exciting area for foreign business contacts and travelers who want to experience this beautiful part of Norway,” says Executive Director Kjetil Håbjørg of SAS.

SAS will serve the Sandefjord-Copenhagen route with 70-seat ATR72 aircraft.
