Inside Cathay Pacific’s New Premium Economy Experience

Cathay Pacific has introduced an upgraded Premium Economy experience and showcased it at an event in Hong Kong. The new cabin, which will be featured on retrofitted Boeing 777-300ERs, offers elevated comfort and privacy.

Additionally, the airline announced a limited-edition special selection of Chinese wines for First and Business class. Cathay also highlighted its recent dining partnerships with famous Hong Kong restaurants and its inflight entertainment offerings.

Savour an elevated Premium Economy experience

Cathay Pacific’s new Premium Economy class offers passengers an enhanced flying experience, emphasizing comfort and convenience. The seats provide a sense of privacy and space with a design that features a leather headrest, tailor-made cushions, privacy wings, and a personal reading light.

Passengers can enjoy entertainment on a 15.6-inch 4K UHD screen with on-demand content, Bluetooth audio streaming, and handy storage for their devices.

Additionally, the cabin has exclusive touch-free lavatories and mood lighting throughout to create a serene atmosphere.

Explore a new world of wine

Cathay Pacific has enhanced its wine offerings by including a selection of premium Chinese wines.

First-class travelers can enjoy the Domaine de Long Dai 2020, a Bordeaux blend from DBR Lafite. On long-haul flights, Business-class passengers have access to three rotating wines from Ningxia. These include the full-bodied Silver Heights Jiayuan Marselan 2021, the award-winning Grace Vineyard Tasya’s Reserve Cabernet Franc 2018, and the Xige Estate Jade Dove Single Vineyard Cabernet Gernischt 2019.

Embark on an immersive culinary journey

Cathay Pacific has partnered with renowned local restaurants to enhance its dining offerings. These include a bespoke menu of French cuisine from the Michelin-starred restaurant Louise by JIA Group, a unique ‘Hong Kong Flavors‘ menu with Duddell’s, and exclusive tasting menus at The Pier, First Lounge, in collaboration with Rosewood Hong Kong. The goal is to give customers a sense of Hong Kong’s rich culinary culture during their travel.

Cathay Pacific stands out as the premier airline for inflight entertainment in the Asia-Pacific region. Each plane features seatback entertainment at every seat. Skytrax has recognized it as the Best Airline Inflight Entertainment. Passengers enjoy a wide selection from platforms like Disney+, Max, and Paramount. Cutting-edge 4K ultra-high-definition screens showcase video-on-demand, while Bluetooth audio streaming enhances the passenger experience on the Airbus A321neo and updated 777-300ER aircraft.
