Delta Announces New Flights to China for Winter Season

    Delta expands its flight schedule to China, launching 10 weekly flights to the bustling Shanghai-Pudong International Airport (PVG) f

    In a major development, Delta Air Lines has announced plans to broaden its flight offerings to China for the upcoming winter season. The expansion will significantly increase connectivity between the US and China, serving as a boon for travelers between the two nations. 

    Beginning October 29, Delta’s flight schedule to China expands. The airline will launch 10 weekly flights to China’s bustling Shanghai-Pudong International Airport (PVG) from its hubs in Seattle (SEA) and Detroit (DTW). Delta will operate daily flights to China from SEA and offer three-times-weekly service from DTW. Additionally, Delta will resume four-times-weekly flights to China (PVG) from its Los Angeles hub next March. This route was last operated in February 2020.*

    Convenient connections in China through Delta and China Eastern partnership

This collaboration sees the operation of 260 codeshare flights each week, significantly increasing travel options for customers and improving their overall travel experience

    Furthermore, Delta makes the journey easier for customers traveling from the US to the heart of China. Upon connecting on China Eastern flights at Shanghai-Pudong International Airport (PVG), passengers can now check in their baggage straight through to their choice of destinations within China. This streamlined process offers a hassle-free transfer, underscoring Delta’s commitment to customer-centric innovation.

    Passenger Experience on Delta Flights to China 

    The SEA flight will operate on an Airbus A330-900, while the DTW and LAX flights will use an Airbus A350-900.

    Delta offers passengers a selection of four unique onboard experiences — Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.

    The Delta One experience offers an extraordinary level of comfort and privacy. Patrons of this service will luxuriate in lie-flat seating, swathed in plush bedding crafted from eco-friendly recycled materials.
