Qatar Airways cabin crew presented the coveted gold and silver medals to the finalists following Spain’s 1-0 triumph over England in the grand finale held in Sydney on August 20. The Sweden team earned bronze medals on August 19 for securing third place.

This initiative gave fans a close view of the prestigious FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Winner’s Trophy. Qatar’s national carrier has partnered with FIFA since May 2017. The airline supports national teams and football clubs on their journey to the world’s most significant stage. As Official Airline Partner, Qatar Airways has backed several FIFA competitions. They include the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™. Of course, the airline also supported FIFA events at home during the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019™ and 2020™. Qatar Airways also supported the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™ and the most recent FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

Starting September 1, the airline will resume direct flights to Auckland, New Zealand. This route is currently served via an Adelaide tag.
