Qatar Airways Celebrates Collaborative Partnership with FIFA at the Final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ 

Qatar Airways and FIFA’s partnership was showcased in a thrilling culmination of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™, underscoring the growing and collective legacy of the two organizations.

As the Official Airline Partner of FIFA, Qatar Airways marked the end of the extraordinary FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™. Engaging audiences across the globe and continuing the legacy of collaboration between the airline and FIFA.

Qatar Airways Honors Spain’s Triumphant Victory in FIFA Women’s World Cup

The elegance of Qatar Airways enhanced the prize ceremony. Qatar Airways cabin crew presented the coveted gold and silver medals to the finalists following Spain’s 1-0 triumph over England in the grand finale held in Sydney on August 20. The Sweden team earned bronze medals on August 19 for securing third place. 

Qatar Airways is committed to bringing the excitement of the tournament to fans and communities. Therefore, the airline showcased the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ Winner’s Trophy in Sydney. This initiative gave fans a close view of the prestigious FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Winner’s Trophy. It celebrated the remarkable athletes who competed and reflected Qatar Airways’ dedication to supporting global sports events. 

The History of Qatar Airways and FIFA’s Collaboration

Qatar Airways supported national teams at the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia New Zeland.

Qatar’s national carrier has partnered with FIFA since May 2017. The airline supports national teams and football clubs on their journey to the world’s most significant stage. As Official Airline Partner, Qatar Airways has backed several FIFA competitions. They include the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™. Of course, the airline also supported FIFA events at home during the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019™ and 2020™. Qatar Airways also supported the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™ and the most recent FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

Flying Fans to Global Sporting Events   

With a network of over 160 destinations, Qatar Airways flies sports fans worldwide to watch their favorite teams compete. 

Qatar Airways operates 100 weekly flights in the UK to Birmingham, Edinburgh, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, and Manchester. 

In Spain, the airline has a frequency of 35 weekly flights to Barcelona, Madrid, and Malaga.

Qatar Airways operates 42 weekly flights to Australia, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

Starting September 1, the airline will resume direct flights to Auckland, New Zealand. This route is currently served via an Adelaide tag.
