American Airlines is expanding its summer 2024 schedule by introducing seven new routes with flights to New England and Nova Scotia. This network enhancement offers customers new options to explore destinations such as the rugged coastal mountains, Canadian waters for whale watching, and the serene shores of Cape Cod. These new routes originate from New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and connect passengers to 75 nonstop destinations from the Big Apple.

    • American will add seven new routes next summer to coastal destinations in New England and Nova Scotia.
    • American will also launch service on two additional international routes next summer.
    • Hyannis, Massachusetts, will join the largest global network of any US airline starting next June.
    • This year, American has announced more than 45 new routes, growing the most comprehensive route network connecting more unique city pairs than any other US airline.

“American continues to build a network that gives customers the most comprehensive access to the places they want to visit with nine new routes for next summer,” said Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning. “New service to Hyannis, expanded service from New York, and more international service grows the largest global network in the United States, connecting more cities than any other U.S. carrier, for a summer like no other.”

Starting October 23rd, travelers can purchase flights to Hyannis on aa.com or American’s mobile app. Starting October 16th, tickets for other routes will also be available on aa.com or American’s mobile app.

New American Airlines Flights to the Northeastern Coast

From June 5, 2024, American Airlines will introduce new daily flights to Hyannis, Massachusetts (HYA) from both LGA (LaGuardia Airport) and Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA). This marks the first time that American will offer service to Hyannis, allowing passengers to conveniently connect to over 80 destinations across North America with just one stop. As the sole global network carrier serving the airport, American Airlines is now the travelers’ gateway to Cape Cod. Furthermore, American Airlines will launch flights to five cities along the Northeastern coast from LGA, including the sole service to Halifax, Canada (YHZ) from the airport.

Connecting coastal New England to the world

In the upcoming summer season, American Airlines is expanding its services from Maine to six major cities in the United States. This means that travelers from Maine will have more options with over 20 daily flights, allowing convenient connections to over 200 destinations worldwide.

The schedule expansion is also a boon for visitors drawn to Maine’s picturesque coastline to savor its lobster or explore its natural landscapes. American Airlines aims to provide the most comprehensive network and convenient flight schedules.

Additionally, American Airlines is the only US carrier operating flights to Nova Scotia, granting travelers access to breathtaking spots like the Bay of Fundy and the renowned Peggy’s Cove. For those seeking unique experiences, Nova Scotia is also home to the Acadian Skies and Mi’kmaq Lands, a captivating starlight reserve that offers an extraordinary glimpse into the universe.

Expanding the American Airlines network for enhanced global travel opportunities

American Airlines is expanding its offerings for travelers planning their summer adventures. The airline has announced the addition of two new international routes to its already impressive roster of 45 new routes for the upcoming year.

Beginning on June 5, 2024, American Airlines will introduce nonstop service from Charlotte (CLT) to Vancouver, Canada (YVR). This route will provide the only direct flight between North Carolina and British Columbia, offering travelers a convenient and efficient way to reach their destination without any layovers.

In addition, American Airlines will resume its nonstop flights between Washington DCA and Bermuda (BDA) starting April 4, 2024. This marks the return of direct flights to Bermuda since 2019 and adds a fifth gateway to American Airlines’ extensive network of flights to the island.

For those seeking to explore new European destinations, American Airlines has exciting plans in store. The airline recently announced a new summer 2024 service to Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH); Naples, Italy (NAP); and Nice, France (NCE). These additions will provide travelers access to iconic attractions such as Nyhavn harbor in Copenhagen, the enchanting Amalfi Coast in Naples, and the glamorous French Riviera in Nice.

With these new routes and destinations, American Airlines continues to enhance its offerings and provide travelers with more options to create unforgettable memories worldwide.
