Air India Just Made Loyalty More Rewarding

Air India Revamps ‘Flying Returns’ Loyalty Program for Better Rewards and Ease of Use

Air India has unveiled a major update to its ‘Flying Returns’ loyalty program. The airline now offers members more straightforward rewards based on spending rather than miles flown. The new program starts today, featuring a spend-based model that promises fair and balanced point collection.

Active members benefit from never-expiring points. This ensures that the rewards they earn are theirs to keep for as long as they remain engaged with the program. Furthermore, award ticket availability has improved with no blackout dates. Additionally, the ‘Cash+Points’ redemption option provides flexibility in how members use their points.

The refreshed program maintains consistent Tier privileges across all Star Alliance partner airlines. This allows members to collect and redeem points globally. The airline introduced a newly designed digital interface. It will make it simpler for members to manage their accounts and transactions all in one place.

Air India invites its Flying Returns members to take advantage of these updated features and collect points under the new system.

“The revamp of Flying Returns is an important step forward in the way the ‘new’ Air India intends to serve and delight customers. We spent the past year listening, gathering insights from over 50,000 customers, and benchmarking our program against the best loyalty offerings out there. This deep dive, coupled with a complete digital overhaul, has resulted in a much stronger and value-delivering program that we are proud to present today,” said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial & Transformation Officer at Air India.

“We are confident that this evolution of Flying Returns, along with more strengths we will add to the program in due course, will elevate it to the forefront of global loyalty programs.”
