Discover Airlines Reveals Delectable New Food And Beverage Concept

Discover Airlines has announced a new “Let’s discover culinary delights” food and beverage concept, with updated menus in all travel classes for both short—and long-haul routes.

The airline developed the new menus with international catering partners based on feedback from guest surveys.

“Let’s Discover Culinary Delights” Food And Beverage Concept

Travelers can now look forward to a revised catering offer on board all Discover Airlines flights on both short—and long-haul routes. The new food and beverage concept, “Let’s discover culinary delights,” is part of the quality offensive that the holiday airline launched as part of its new brand identity.

The slogan “Let’s discover” stands for the joy of traveling, discovering and rediscovering beautiful places and experiences—and now also culinary highlights on board.

“We want to provide not only holiday joy on board our flights but also culinary delights. We work closely with our international catering partners so that we can surprise our guests with new creations every four months when the menu changes,” says Patrick Door, responsible for in-flight product at Discover Airlines.

The airline bases its food and beverage innovations on the results of customer surveys that Discover Airlines regularly conducts. The now revised offer corresponds to customers’ wishes to discover well-known classics and new culinary delights, such as local specialties.

What To Expect From Discover Airlines’ New Menu

Classics of German cuisine and international specialties from the destinations on the Discover Airlines route network inspire meals.

The airline offers meat and vegetarian options in all travel classes. Customers can pre-order special menu variations such as vegan, kosher, and gluten-free free of charge through the Discover Airlines Service Center up to 48 hours before departure.

Business Class

In addition to the beef roulade with dumplings and Brussels sprouts, the business class menu also includes an oryx goulash from Windhoek or a poblano chili from Cancún filled with vegetarian mole.

To get you in the mood for the most wonderful time of the year, guests on long-haul flights can now choose from 20 cocktails and long drinks, including non-alcoholic versions.

The Frankfurt-based holiday airline, part of the Lufthansa Group, has always valued sweetening its guests’ holiday travel experience, surprising them, and creating moments of joy.

In addition to specially created welcome cocktails in Business Class, the airline treats passengers to free freshly baked cookies in all travel classes on long-haul flights and in Business Class on short-haul flights.

Discover Airlines further upgraded its Premium Economy Class on long-haul routes earlier this year. The airline now serves food and drinks in chinaware and glasses, just like in business class.
