JetBlue Redefines Sky-High At-Home Comfort with Blueprint by JetBlue™

JetBlue has enhanced its onboard experience by introducing Blueprint, a new initiative to offer passengers more customizable travel options. In addition, the airline has launched new inflight entertainment features that allow customers to watch, save, and discover content similar to their home experience.

Blueprint by JetBlue™ is a personalized inflight experience platform that will give customers more customizability across their travel journey. It begins with new inflight entertainment features, some of which have never been implemented on a U.S. airline.

Elevate Your Entertainment: Experience the Comfort of Home, High in the Sky

JetBlue is enhancing its onboard technology with Blueprint by JetBlue, a new seatback touchscreen feature. This update mimics the functionalities of popular streaming platforms, providing customers with familiar experiences directly on their seatback screens.

  • Watch Party: Watch the same movie or TV show simultaneously with up to five other passengers. JetBlue allows six customers to enjoy entertainment together, and they can play and pause on all linked screens.
  • Content Recommendations: Receive personalized suggestions for inflight entertainment based on your previous viewing habits.
  • Pick Up Where You Left Off: Continue watching your movie or show right where you left off, even if your next flight is days later or includes a layover.
  • Saved Favorites: Easily save your favorite movies and TV shows to view on future flights, minimizing search time for more viewing pleasure.
  • Saved Settings: Keep your preferred accessibility and system settings, including volume, language, parental controls, and captioning preferences consistent from one flight to the next.
  • Content Partnerships: JetBlue has an exclusive partnership with Peacock, providing customers access to exclusive content and offers.

JetBlue’s enhanced inflight entertainment system now offers personalized features. These allow passengers to customize their experience during and across flights by authenticating their profiles securely on AVANT seatback touchscreens.

Tailored Touchpoints for Seamless Connection

Beyond inflight entertainment options, Blueprint expands on JetBlue’s existing products that give customers a more personalized experience and bring their entire travel journey to their fingertips:

  • Personal Greetings: JetBlue allows customers to adjust their preferred names in their travel profiles. These names are then displayed on seatback screens as a personal welcome message, accommodating all identity preferences.
  • Birthday Celebrations: JetBlue is unique in celebrating customers’ birthdays with confetti graphics on the seatback screens. The airline offers a complimentary drink for those aged 21 and over.
  • Flight Connect: Information about connecting JetBlue flights and gate details is readily available on the seatback screens.
  • Seatback Ordering: JetBlue’s A321neo with Mint aircraft’s seatback ordering feature lets customers order meals directly from their seatback screens, enhancing the dining experience on transatlantic flights.
  • Loyalty Program Sign-Up: JetBlue makes joining its TrueBlue loyalty program simple. A QR code pops up on the seatback touchscreens for easy one-click enrollment. The code automatically fills in the customer’s first and last names on their device.

The new personalization functions have begun rolling out on JetBlue’s AVANT touchscreen aircraft powered by Thales. All upgrades are expected to be completed next month.

Since 2000, JetBlue has innovated with features such as seatback entertainment, free Wi-Fi, ample legroom in coach, and self-service snacks. These enhancements are part of JetBlue’s commitment to a customer-first experience. The airline continues to develop its inflight services under the Blueprint by JetBlue platform.
