Enjoy New Fine Dining At La Girafe In Arlanda Airport’s Marketplace

Stockholm Arlanda Airport enhances its dining options by opening La Girafe, a new restaurant by renowned chef Pontus Frithiof. It is the latest food and beverage venue to open at Arlanda’s Marketplace. Inspired by the dynamic culture of Paris, La Girafe invites guests into two distinct areas: the Bistro and the Food & Bar. The restaurant has the broadest bar counter at the airport and offers an equally varied menu.

Chef Pontus Frithiof captures the spirit of Parisian diversity at La Girafe. Guests experience a blend of passion and innovation, wrapped in welcoming service and a lively atmosphere. From an à la carte breakfast in the bistro to a generous buffet in the food bar, La Girafe suits all appetites.

Airport Fine Dining That’s Just In Time: La Girafe at Arlanda

La Girafe menu upgrades dining in Arlanda Airport.

Aiming for convenience without compromising taste, La Girafe presents an array of small bites, starters, entrees, and desserts designed for quick service. Guests can indulge in the deep flavors of traditional French cooking, enhanced by appealing accents from Vietnam, Morocco, and New Orleans. Signature dishes at La Girafe include savory Vietnamese spring rolls, robust Moroccan Beef Tartar “Butcher Style,” and tender veal schnitzel. It’s the ideal spot for travelers seeking a top-notch meal in a flash.

“In our strategy for the commercial offering at Stockholm Arlanda, we asked for a fine dining concept for those passengers who want something out of the ordinary, and La Girafe will offer just that. The restaurant offers several different concepts that we hope will suit all travelers. It is eagerly awaited that La Girafe is now opening in the Marketplace in Terminal 5,” says Charlotte Ljunggren, director of marketing and sales at Swedavia.

At La Girafe, diners can enjoy delectable meals from sunrise to sunset. This dining haven has an extensive menu. It features breakfast, brunch available all day, swift lunches, and dinners that round off the day perfectly. Each menu item comes alive with vivid descriptions, making the selection process a breeze for any traveler.

Time is of the essence for guests on the go, and La Girafe rises to the occasion. The restaurant prepares meals “a la minute,” ensuring diners enjoy fresh, piping-hot dishes in 15 minutes. For those in an extra hurry, express dishes provide even faster service without compromising taste or quality.

Born Of Pontus Frithiof and Thomas Dahlstedt Alliance

La Girafe was born of the partnership forged between Pontus Frithiof of the Pontus Group and Thomas Dahlstedt of Nordrest in 2015. The collaboration has matured into a strong franchise agreement, with Nordrest at the helm of operations. Frithiof leaves his mark with signature concepts and menus. These speak volumes about quality and showcase a deep understanding of guest expectations. La Girafe is more than a quick meal stop. It’s a culinary experience that will satisfy the discerning tastes of its visitors.

“We at Nordrest are proud and happy that we have now opened our fourth unit at Arlanda. We look forward to offering an exciting concept that adds something extraordinary for Stockholm Arlanda’s passengers,” says Michael Bühring, CEO of Nordrest restaurants.

Swedavia, which manages ten airports across Sweden, focuses on connecting the country to support travel and commerce. Prioritizing the satisfaction and safety of travelers, they also lead in eco-friendly airport development. As of 2020, all their airports operate without fossil fuels. In 2022, Swedavia’s revenue was around 4.8 billion SEK, employing about 2,400 staff.
