JetBlue, Empire State Development Debut New JFK Terminal 5 Skywalk

In collaboration with Empire State Development, JetBlue celebrated the unveiling of the rebranded Skywalk at JFK Airport’s Terminal 5 in New York. Funded by Empire State Development, the Skywalk renovation is part of the state’s effort to improve the traveler experience.

The Skywalk connects passengers to various forms of transport. It links parking garages, AirTrain services, and the NYC metro area to JetBlues operations at JFK. It showcases JetBlue’s visual identity, offering travel tips and insights about New York State. This effort exemplifies JetBlue’s commitment as New York’s Hometown Airline and its partnership with Empire State Development and The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The project was made possible through a collective endeavor with Prophet and Jack Morton teams.

JetBlue’s government and airport affairs VP, Jeff Goodell, highlighted the partnership with Empire State Development. The two companies aim to market New York as an exciting and varied destination. “By investing in this innovative and refreshed Skywalk at JFK’s Terminal 5, we aim to ensure that the many JetBlue customers who utilize this vital pedestrian connection recognize New York as a destination worth experiencing,” Goodell said.

JetBlue and Empire State Development have collaborated to promote New York State and New York City as top travel destinations. Their partnership has produced notable efforts like a joint logo with the famous “I Love New York” campaign in 2010. JetBlue also introduced the ‘I Heart BLUE York’ special livery aircraft in 2011, showcasing its strong relationship with New York.
