Delta Airlines Elevates In-Flight Menu with Gourmet Dining

Delta Air Lines is ready to tantalize your taste buds with a revamped in-flight menu. It boasts an array of international dishes crafted by the renowned Chef Peter Cho and comforting culinary delights courtesy of Delta’s collaborative partner, the celebrated Chef Mashama Bailey. Additionally, passengers can rejoice as Delta’s fan-favorite Tip Top Margaritas make a much-anticipated comeback!

Kristen Manion Taylor, Senior Vice President of In-Flight Service at Delta, emphasizes the company’s commitment to an exceptional dining experience, “We want our onboard food and beverage service to be as exciting as the destinations to which we fly. In addition to ensuring our products are delicious and served with care, we want to continually surprise and delight our frequent flyers with new food and beverage offerings for every palate.”

The Culinary Council, featuring not only Chefs Cho and Bailey but also other culinary luminaries such as L.A.’s own Chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events, and a selection of other well-regarded chefs and food-service specialists, brings its collective expertise to Delta’s dining approach. This council of experts plays a crucial role in refining Delta’s food and beverage strategy.

Delta regularly updates its onboard dining selections to reflect the freshest seasonal inspirations, ensuring a satisfying experience for all passengers, regardless of their dietary needs.

A taste of Korea from Chef Peter Cho

Peter Cho is the well-known Han Oak, Toki, and Jeju restaurant owner and executive chef. He’s also been in the running for a James Beard Award. He puts a modern spin on Korean dishes, using fresh local ingredients and unique Western cooking methods. If you fly Delta One to Incheon, you can taste his creativity. From December, the menu will feature delicious Korean braised beef short ribs served with rice, mushrooms, broccoli, and a sweet soy sauce. You can also try the tangy kimchee, a flavorful doenjang soup made with soybean paste, and a vegetarian bao bun with a curried potato salad and pickled cucumbers.

First Class Passengers From Atlanta Experience Award-Winning Culinary Delights by Chef Mashama Bailey

Travelers flying First Class from Atlanta are in for a treat, as the inflight menu features new and exciting flavors created by the illustrious Chef Mashama Bailey. Honored as the 2022 “Outstanding American Chef” by the James Beard Foundation, Chef Bailey is the esteemed Executive Chef and co-founder of The Grey, a renowned dining establishment in Savannah, Georgia.

Enjoy the culinary excellence that has placed The Grey in the spotlight right from the comfort of your First Class seat. Chef Bailey’s innovative dishes capture the essence of Southern cuisine, inviting passengers to indulge in a memorable gastronomic journey as they soar to their destinations.

From February onwards, travelers flying First Class from Atlanta with the airline’s signature meal service can expect an array of satisfying breakfast choices. The offerings crafted by Chef Bailey include a dish of scrambled eggs accompanied by a hash brown cake and a side of chicken sausage gravy; a frittata drizzled with spiced tomato sauce and served with fingerling potatoes and bell peppers; and Grey Market pecan granola paired with a mixed berry compote and almond milk.

For lunch and dinner, the menu features heartwarming dishes such as beef short ribs provided by Atlanta’s own Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, glazed smoked chicken with a side of quinoa salad, or a homely baked mac-n-cheese topped with toasted garlic breadcrumbs and accompanied by broccoli. A sweet whipped cream-topped lemon bar offers a delightful end to the dining experience.

Delta One’s international travelers can enjoy various gourmet options crafted by Chef Bailey. Indulgent passengers might savor the creole shrimp paired with smooth, creamy grits smothered in a rich tomato gravy. For those seeking a hearty meal, the grilled bratwurst is an enticing choice, served with softly braised red cabbage, herb-infused mashed potatoes, crisp green beans, and topped with a flavorful grain mustard demi-glace.

Additional selections include a warm cauliflower soup embellished with delicately snipped chives—a perfect starter for the culinary adventure. An appetizer of poached shrimp with a cool cucumber yogurt sauce and a zesty twist of lemon offers a refreshing beginning. Delta hasn’t overlooked side dishes. Enjoy a fresh salad of mixed greens with crunchy radish, ripe tomatoes, and tangy balsamic vinaigrette to round out the meal.

Sustainable Sparkling Wine “Tchin” by Ethic Drinks: Now available in the Main Cabin. Passengers can unwind with a glass of “Tchin” Sparkling Wine crafted by Ethic Drinks. This delightful wine is not only tasty but also produced with eco-friendly methods.

Gambino Sparkling Wine: Originating from the Treviso region, nestled in northern Italy’s renowned Prosecco area, this crisp white sparkling wine is a treat for the senses. Passengers on Delta’s Domestic First Class will enjoy a complimentary glass of this bubbly delight before departure and throughout their flight.
