Lufthansa Group Enhances Travel with Next-Gen Entertainment Through Extended Spafax Partnership

Spafax and Lufthansa Group have announced a partnership extension until 2028 to bring cutting-edge in-flight experiences to passengers. This collaboration aims to transform the travel journey by offering advanced on-board and off-board entertainment options.

Spafax, a top in-flight entertainment solutions provider, reinforces its commitment to this key partnership. The company is increasing its support team in Frankfurt to meet Lufthansa Group’s needs in the vital European market. Upcoming projects will focus on elevating in-flight entertainment and connectivity across varied touchpoints. Spafax will streamline content delivery using cloud technologies, ensuring a seamless entertainment experience for passengers.

In addition, Spafax takes on new responsibilities for third-party advertising sales. This strategy will allow Lufthansa Group to establish valuable brand partnerships that will improve the passenger experience and boost revenue. The enhanced entertainment offerings will be available at multiple stages, enriching the passenger journey from booking to post-arrival.

Lufthansa Group and Spafax Enhance In-Flight Entertainment

  • Technical Advancements: Spafax is revolutionizing how entertainment is delivered to Lufthansa Group’s customers by bringing pioneering solutions to the forefront. Passengers at airports can now enjoy streaming services for kids’ shows while on board; podcasts are readily accessible on their devices.
  • Diverse Entertainment Selection: Spafax Content Services boasts an impressive lineup of global entertainment. They strongly emphasize top-tier European content and enhance the travel experience by fostering unique brand collaborations through their international and local teams.
  • Maximizing Revenue Streams: Lufthansa Airlines is implementing International Media Sales with Spafax’s expertise for the first time. This move intends to increase earnings across the airline’s expanding media offerings substantially.
  • Customized Brand Solutions: Lufthansa Group carriers, including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Discover Airlines, and Edelweiss, will benefit from bespoke solutions. These services are designed to highlight each airline’s unique brand while capitalizing on the efficiencies of the group as a whole.

The airlines of the Lufthansa Group included in the agreement are Lufthansa, Discover Airlines, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and Edelweiss Air.
